Nicole is a punctual, organize, and easy to work with person. The first time we met in a rather busy Starbucks, Nicole showed up early than the time we supposed to meet, and reserved a table for the meeting. That was a very impressive first impression. She was very thorough, prepare, and professional during the meeting. Nicole did an amazing job for my husband and I on our wedding. The best about working with Nicole is that you get a full trial session which is more than 3 hours, where you can try make-up, hair, and your gowns on so that you know how you will look like on your wedding day exactly. Although I think every thing on my wedding day looks even better! She is very kind and patient, I had some issue with my arm half way through my trial, she offered to do this again when I feel better and gave me some plaster to ease the pain. She didn't push customers to add services and even suggested that her makeup stayed on very well and I don't need to spend extra money for her to stay during the reception. She left a makeup back with all the things I may need and I only used the lipstick. My hairpiece and earrings are also borrowed from her for free since I booked her full service. from the beginning. She had a huge selection of beautiful accessories. She also did a good job with my husband's makeup and hair adding only a little more to the total. I would highly recommend Nicole to everyone!

Nicole is the best, especially for applying Asian makeup correctly! I had contacted her over email to talk about being my wedding day makeup artist, and chose her because of her prompt responses, photos of beautiful brides on her website, and the fact that her husband Aaron does photography as well. They gave me a package that included 250 photos, makeup and hair trial for the bride, and bridal day of makeup and hair. I was extremely happy with the  makeup  and  hair trial -  Nicole  was very  good about asking me what kind of look I want (I said natural but make my eyes look big), delicately applying my  makeup and walking me what she was doing. She gave me tips on keeping my skin fresh and dyeing my hair so my braids would stand out more. She also lent me accessories  that matched my look. On the day-of, Nicole and another makeup artist Ramona worked around the clock to make sure that myself, my bridesmaids, and my mom looked their best. High recommend Nicole for any big occasions you have.

Nicole is very talented, thoughtful, responsible, easy to communicate with and absolutely does phenomenal jobs for any occasion. In my case, Nicole did the hair and make up for my graduation and my court wedding. Let me share the process from making reservations to the actual work. So first of all, be sure to make reservations ahead of time because she is popular. She is very responsive to message when she is not working. After setting the appointment, she asked your needs and details. She would also welcome your personal preference in terms of styles, so I sent her pictures of the styles I like even I'm not sure if those will be a good fit for me. No worries, Nicole will help you find out. She has the critical thinking as well as aesthetics. After these communication, we met and did the hair and makeup. She makes the atmosphere comfortable and relaxing. I even fall asleep when she was doing my hair. She has both high-end make up products(Chanel, Tom Ford...) and other good quality products (Estee lauder,Urban Decay...). She would make sure to use the products that work best for you. Her skills for correction and applying concealers are amazing. I have scars, acne, stubborn pimples, dark circles... you name it. She did a great job to correct those without making me become mask face by putting too heavy foundations on my face. I seriously don't know how she can achieve that but if you are someone who care about foundation make up that can even out your skin tone and texture, Nicole is your guy. Her skillset with hair (any length) is excellent. For my wedding, she even thinks of making a base so that the veil can stick to my hair. You know how great it is when you don't need to worry about your hair and veil while taking photos outdoors. I'm in Seattle so you know the weather... Speaking of Seattle, although this is where she resides in, she also provides services to other states (CA for example). Check with her even if you are not in WA. Overall, I highly recommend her services. Her charge/rate is extremely reasonable. She is bilingual (Eng. and Mandarin Chinese). I will still ask her to do my make up next time.

I was very lucky to have Nicole do my hair and makeup on my wedding day. I love her makeup style so much: sweet, clean and natural looking with lots of attention to details. Taking care of inner double-fold eyelid was very time-consuming and complicated, but Nicole was very patient and professional. Nicole did a lot more than what I signed up for: pre-wedding consultation on skin care and outfit selection, sending me reminders on what to do the night before wedding, and more importantly, helping me calm down and relax on my wedding day when things didn't go as planned (which is very likely to happen!) My wedding gown was tied-back style, and none of us but Nicole know how to handle it. I can't imagine my big day would go so smoothly with all the unexpected incidents if Nicole wasn't there. Nicole did my makeup and hair for my pre-wedding photos shooting with Aaron Liu Photography. I also rented bridal dresses from her. She is so caring and patient. My service package includes makeup, two hair styles and two dresses, she was very nice and patient about helping me choosing my hair styles and pairing it to my dress. She also gave me advise to prep my skin for the shooting. Nicole use high-end makeup products to create light and clean Asian style makeup. I prefer her makeup style than heavy makeup style. I want a clean, soft, and sweet bridal makeup, and Nicole made that happen! 
Nicole arrived in the morning to do my makeup and hair as our photo shooting was in the afternoon. During the shooting, she paid attention to my makeup, hair and my dress to make the photo perfect! I would definitely recommend Nicole to my friends!

My wife and I were fortunate enough to be able to hire Nicole as our makeup and hair artist for our wedding last year. The thing that really stands out about Nicole is that she is extremely good with asian girls' makeup. Everything is done just right, and not too much to feel artificial.

This is my first yelp review. I want to do this for Nicole haha.

Nicole did my hair and makeup for my wedding photos shooting. She exceeded my expectations a LOT. We wanted to move our photo shooting to early morning to avoid crowds, which means we have to start to work on makeup and hair at 4am. Even though Nicole knew she would only have 2 hours sleep before 4am because she had another client the day before and couldn't go back home before midnight, she decided to satisfy my request. She was very energetic at my big day (even though she slept for less than 2 hours) and did a really great job with my hair and makeup. She even spent some time and designed my husband a cute style.

During the whole day photo shooting, she really paid attention to my hair, makeup, dress etc. She offered great ideas about where and how to get nice pictures. I would say she really cares about us not because of work. She is a nice and kind person. I will recommend her to my friends and will definitely go to her if I need hairstyle and makeup service in the future.

Nicole is wonderful. She spent time communicating about weeks before our scheduled pre-wedding photo date, and discussed possibilities of the hair style and accessories. She also gave me practical and professional suggestions when I was choosing Bridal gowns and evening dress. I am not sure if words can truly express how great I think Nicole is. She exceeded my expectations in every way and went far and beyond imaginable. I had my wedding makeup and hair designed by Remola, one of the artists in Nicole's team. 2 weeks before the wedding, we started to discuss what would my look be on the big day, Remola and Nicole have been so patient and considerate about my ideas, also gave me lots of useful advices. On the big day, we did 3 hours of bridal makeup and hairs plus half an hour groom touch-up, she used all high end makeups and gave me a natural but shine look. With that look I spent 2 hours outside in a raining afternoon shooting some portraits before wedding and the makeup barely changed!

I worked with Nicole for my wedding make up and hair in September. She is awesome.
Even before we had the trial, Nicole had been communicating with me via email and IMs on what styles I was looking for. During our 4 hour trial, she prepped me with two different looks to match my two outfits. She also let me try 10+ different veils that she brought over till I decided which one I liked the most. She also has a collection of very high quality jewelries that I could borrow for the wedding day, so I didn't have to go shop around for my own. I was impressed with the quality of her products, they are all top brands like Lancome, Shu Uemura, Bobbi Brown that Nicole has used and preferred over the years.

On the day of the wedding, Nicole arrived early and got started right away. She finished my first look exactly how I wanted, and she was always there on standby mode whenever I needed extra lip color or my hair got loose. It was a long day for her from 9am till 8pm, but she was always available and helpful.

Nicole is also very accessible. We were exchanging messages and photos very often before the wedding, her response has been very prompt. If she happened to be working, she would still respond and say she's working with a client but would get back asap. You can't really ask for more than that.
Beyond wedding make up, Nicole also shared plenty beauty tips, including facial masks, serum oil, etc that she recommends.
I felt so lucky to have known Nicole and hope we'll have the opportunity to work together again at other events!

Nicole is patient, professional and diligent.  While I wasn't 100% about my wedding day look, Nicole listened to my needs / requests, and we reached a final look that I was happy with. I was particularly impressed by Nicole during our trial session, and knew I made the right decision.  During my wedding, I was a nervous bride, Nicole went above and beyond to make sure I was beautiful. Nicole also did my mother's makeup the day of my wedding, and we  found her make up products to be high quality. I was so happy with Nicole, that I also recommended her to my future sister-in-law as well (for her engagement makeup/photo and session). Many people may say that Nicole is one of the best makeup artist in Seattle or the U.S.  I'd rather tell you that Nicole will be the only makeup artist that you want to work with for your wedding, because, truly, she will make you the most beautiful one in the world!  In addition to her perfect makeup techniques, she is so good at identifying different types of facial structure and very knowledgeable of how to design the looks for anybody.  My story with Nicole is even more touching.  I met Nicole on a friend's wedding, and witnessed how good she was.  Unfortunately I had booked my own makeup artist in Portland by then.  A couple months later, after I got a makeup trial from my Portland artist, a so-called top one in Portland, I was in shock and can't even look at myself in the mirror for one second.  The artist just didn't understand how makeup should work on my face.  It was a month before my wedding!  I thought of Nicole and called her to check her availability.  She was certainly all booked, and my wedding day turned out to be her little vacation day with her husband.  After learning about my story,  Nicole decided to travel with her husband to Portland to help with my makeup!  I was so moved and excited about it.  And indeed, she put a perfect look on me on my wedding day!  She is also super considerate, thinking everything ahead for me and was following along to watch out for my makeup all the time.  I am so so so fortunate that I met her in my life!! Nicole is amazing. I had the bridal package for makeup & hair that includes the consultation/trial and 4 hours on the day of our wedding. 

I told her i preferred the asian-american look and sent her pictures and she did not disappoint. Throughout the trial she made sure that every step she took on my makeup was to my liking, this was a huge relief since the end had no crazy surprises since i'm not makeup savvy to begin with. She went above and beyond after I told her I wanted my eyelashes to stand out - i think she ended up putting 2.5 falsies on each top lid plus multiple small ones on the bottom lid - it looked amazing. 

The hair trial was a bit rushed but Nicole was open to changes and accommodated appropriately on the day of. 

She was amazing on the day of my wedding and stayed even longer than contracted. She did multiple touch ups throughout the day & drove to both my ceremony & reception location. She was attentive to my changes in outfit and even suggested a change in lipstick color to match. She was so attentive that she even gave me a pep talk before the ceremony to calm my nerves & even gave the groom a tissue in case I started crying. 

Honestly the best MUA ever. I went back & forth considering doing my own makeup/hair but i am so glad i chose Nicole!

Nicole is an excellent makeup aritist and understanding. My mom and mother-in-law and sister-in-law wanted to do make up the last minute. Nicole was able to accommodate the last minutes changes to the schedule graceful.

Nicole was excellent! Working with Nicole was a wonderful experience. She was very responsible and dependable. I felt like I could really count on her to make sure that my makeup and hair was perfect on my wedding day. A lot of hair and makeup artists will just leave after they're done, but Nicole stayed with me throughout to make sure that I looked my best and when it was time for her to leave (my wedding had a weird timeline), she gave copious instructions to my bridesmaids just in case of any mishaps and left a bag of supplies for touch up just in case. She even let me borrow a number of her bridal accessories for the wedding!

Nicole is very gentle and kind. She was very accommodating and she respected and listened to my ideas. I was more beautiful than I could have even imagined on my wedding day! She did a great job turning my random, sparse ideas into something so amazingly beautiful. She also went above and beyond to teach my mom tips and tricks when it comes to helping me with the dress and gave me a lot of good advice on skin care. 

Overall, Nicole played an instrumental role on my wedding day both as a makeup and hair guru as well as a supportive friend. I really felt like I couldn't have looked more beautiful on my wedding day thanks to her!

I had a wedding that desperately needed someone who understands asian facial features, and then there was Nicole when I searched on Yelp!  Her reviews definitely got me to contact her right away and I got lucky to fit into her schedule.  When she knew she had an opening for my wedding, she was very accommodating and insisted a trial make up even when I thought I didn't have time, but you always listen to a professional! 

When my wedding day came, she was on time with an assistant, and stayed with me during the whole ceremony and reception for any necessary touch up, which was definitely a must because I cried a lot!!  Her dedication to ensure the perfect day is definitely worth hiring!

I have looked up for Asian makeup and hair for my wedding day in a while, and Yelp brought me to this girl. As I see all her photos on her website, I’m really impressed with it. And I know I have to have her in my big day. I booked the bridal package with the price reasonable. Nicole really understands what has to do with my face, and listens carefully what I really want for my wedding day. I dont know what to say more about her service since all I can say is my pleasure and the compliments I got on my wedding day.
Plus, she has accessories for hair and they are so beautiful. She charges for it but I think its worthy (:

What I recommend Nicole the most was the cosmetics that she used. She only used famous brands such as MAC, Makeup Forever, etc, which made me feel comfortable about my makeup.

Nicole was really careful when she was doing makeup work, especially on the foundation. She spent lots of time to make my makeup looks light and nature!

When we discussed about my hair styles, I asked for a princess style which was hard to match my clothes for photoshooting. However, she made my hair in braids, which is an Elsa style!! It totally fit my clothes and I really loved the style she designed!

Also, her assesories were so perfect and special. She finally picked a laurel-like hairpin to go with my bridal gown. The style made my photos look great!!

Strongly recommend Nicole for your makeup session, she really knows what you want!

The best makeup experience one could ever expected. I was so lucky that when I approached to Aaron, he recommended Nicole to me. Nicole was so patient and friendly with her comforting voice and attitude. Her natural but delicate way of styling agreed with me deeply. 
I sent some selfies to her before I arrived and she also came to my hotel to see me in person before the wedding. She offered some professional suggestions while communicating with me about my style. She also asked me to send her pictures of my wedding dress to make sure the style we discussed suit my outfit perfectly. 
During the whole wedding and photo shooting, Nicole kept shadowing me to make sure I look perfect all the time.  She really comforted me from my "wedding nervous". To me, Nicole was more than a stylist, but also a wedding coordinator. She taught me how to hold my bouquet and how to walk down the stair gracefully with my long dress. Plus, Nicole also helped with the lighting and taught us how to pose to make the pictures look beautiful and romance. 
Nicole and Aaron, together they make such a great team. My wedding wouldn't be so perfect without their help. Highly recommended to all the bride-to-be.

Nicole is the best makeup artist I know. She has a professional working attitude and a very good personality to get along well for the big day.

I met Nicole through a friend back in April 2015. She graciously agreed to travel to West Kelowna, BC, for my June wedding. While miles apart, Nicole – having been a bride herself not too long ago – always kept in touch and gave lots of helpful and sincere advice to make sure I would look my best on the big day.

With Nicole’s advice, I ended up using facial masks regularly before my wedding (instead of buying the costly concentrate serums that many Chinese-Asians are accustomed to using on their pre-wedding photo sessions and on their wedding days). The improvement from my original dry skin was hugely noticeable. Last weekend, two weeks after my wedding, I was still getting compliments on the change!

Nicole is also very creative and flexible with last-minute requests. We ended up doing a completely different hairstyle and slightly different make-up from our trial session. She took new ideas and just ran with it, and she was very detailed. Everything turned out even better than imagined. Friends, coworkers and even vendors all loved the look!

Would recommend Nicole to all bride-to-be’s!! =)
